Welcome to La Hune

A unique holiday accommodation for groups and families.
La Hune is a unique and extraordinary house, perfect for a group holiday of up to three families.
Welcoming visitors since 1997, La Hune is located just 6km from Exit 8 of the Bordeaux – Toulouse motorway and is perfectly placed for visitors to the legendary medieval towns, markets, villages, views, and attractions of south west France.

Inside the house

We recommend a maximum of 12 people (3 couples in double bedrooms and 6 singles in the ‘dormitory’ but more can be comfortably accommodated if necessary. There are four large double bedrooms on the first floor, one with six single beds, the others with a double bed each. There is also a bedroom downstairs with sofa beds. There are two cots. Two of the bedrooms also have en suite shower rooms, and there are two other bathrooms, also with showers.

The kitchen has a large table seating up to 10. There are 12 chairs, two high chairs, abundant cutlery, plates, saucepans etc. There is a gas oven with an electric hob option, a double sink, a large Welsh dresser, corner cupboard and drinks cabinet. There is a large fridge, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a microwave oven. The oven is gas with four hobs, one of them electric.

Outside the house

This unique and extraordinary house is situated on the west side of the 11th century bastide village of Mansonville, and has a wide, commanding and spectacular view of the Arrats valley. La Hune means the ‘look-out’ or ‘crow’s nest’, as on the tall masts of ships.

The house has a large enclosed garden, a covered terrace, and a 11m x 5m pool.
The village of Mansonville has a market on Monday mornings, a depot de pains, a church, a small shop, a restaurant and a bar.
